Dia de Los Muertos
Student art for Dia de los Muertos: Sixth graders made elaborate “nichos” in wooden boxes, and 7th & 8th graders did charcoal drawings of Calaveras based on study of lifelike plaster skulls which they then decorated in the style of sugar skulls.
Thanks to the Museum of International Folk Art and Bilingual Educator Kemely Gomez for these great collaborations with El Camino Real, and for putting together the beautiful ofrenda at the museum. Fall 2021
